Not only do they commonly cause itching and skin disease, but they can also lead to numerous blood borne infectious diseases, like Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Nexgard (Dog)- Chewable that starts killing fleas (adult, eggs, larva) and ticks within 5 minutes and lasts for 30 days.

Revolution (Dog and Cat)- Topical application that kills fleas (adult, eggs, larva), ticks, heart worms, intestinal parasite and some mites and last for 30 days.

Trifexis- Chewable tablet that starts killing fleas (adult, eggs, larva) within 30 minutes and lasts for 30 days. Also kills heart worms, and intestinal parasites.

Capstar (Dog and Cat)- Tablet that kills adult fleas within 30 minutes and lasts for 72 hours.
